Keeping valuables safe…
Choosing the Right Safe
Not all safes are designed for the same purpose. When purchasing a safe, it’s important to consider what purpose you are purchasing your safe for. Are you protecting your valuables from fire, theft or both?
It’s best to buy from a security specialist, as they can provide expert advice and help ensure the safe meets your needs. Our team will ask you questions to help determine the best-suited safe for your requirements.
Before speaking to a security specialist, it can be helpful to gather all the items together that you plan to store in your safe. This not only helps you evaluate the space required but also allows you to understand the total value of your belongings.
We have the largest range of safes on display in a retail store in New Zealand and offer a professional delivery and installation service. Whether you are looking for a safe for fire, theft, or both we are sure to have something suitable to meet your needs.
Why is it important to understand the value of your belongings?
Knowing the value of the items will help a security specialist guide you in choosing the appropriate level of security, including the cash rating your safe should meet.
What is a Cash Rating?
A cash rating is provided by the manufacture or the safe and/or by certification. This rating gives an indication of how secure the safe is – assuming it is installed correctly according to manufactures recommendations. Not all safes will have a recommended cash rating.
Before making your purchase, we also recommend checking with your insurer to confirm what level of protection they require or cover, if any.
